The initial contractor winning bid for this project was around 15 Million USD. But as per the Client’s request, ECAN was able to apply several rounds of Value Engineering, and reduce the total cost to 9.4 Million USD, without sacrificing much in terms of functionality of the facility as a whole. The project is under construction, and the estimated delivery date is May 2021.
The COVID19 pandemic hit during construction phase. Our expertise in FIDIC contracts allowed us to suspend the works temporarily with minimum cost to the Client. The Contractor was not able to perform according to our contract after resumption of works. Because of our strong contractual skills, we were able to Terminate the contract with ZERO cost to our Client.
